A bug has been recently identified with the 64 bit version of the 4.1.2 RSA Desktop Software. The message “Error Loading the application. Contact your Administrator” appears after launching the RSA software.
As a temporary work-around to the Desktop 4.1.2 problem you can do the following to gain access to your token code:
1. Make a copy of the Desktop 4.1.2 application token database - Note: For Windows 7, the token database is located at: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\RSA\RSA SecurID Software Token Library\RSASecurIDStorage
2. Download Desktop Application 4.1.1 is http://www.emc.com/security/rsa-securid/rsa-securid-software-authenticators/ms-windows.htm (See below screenshot for download options)
3. Uninstall Desktop 4.1.2
4. Install Desktop 4.1.1 (32 bit version)
5. Overwrite the default token database with the database copied from Desktop 4.1.2
UPDATE: A Certificate expired in the code of the 4.1.2 desktop software which is preventing the application from launching. A update will be released with the proper certificate information.
